Losing Weight Through Weight
Training

I honestly don't see what all of the fuss is about losing weight through
weight training. Is it difficult to do? It can be, but it's not impossible. Does it take time to do? Well, did
it take time to put the weight on in the first place? Does that answer your question? Of course it takes time to
lose the weight. It takes time, effort, commitment, courage and a complete change of your eating habits. That is,
if you want to keep the weight off. That's the most difficult thing in the world for me to understand. Why would
someone go through all of the effort to lose these enormous amounts of weight only to gain it back again within
five years or less. It really is sad.
Most overweight individuals are looking for a quick fix to a lifelong problem and it just doesn't work that way.
You are the one that didn't exercise the self control to stop eating after having a reasonable portion, you are the
one that didn't exercise enough control to make wise choices at meal time, you are the one that has chosen not to
get adequate exercise each day as part of your routine, you are the one that has made the decision to replace the
words "breakfast", "lunch" and "dinner" with "drive through", "carry out" and "delivery".
It does not take a medical doctor to tell you that you need to start eating healthy and getting more exercise.
Shoot, it doesn't take a darn GED to figure that out. If you can't read the numbers on the scale then you need to
get one of those scales that reads "UR Fat" when you enter your height and weight. Just joking. I don't know if
they make those yet, but they should. Weight training will not only help you to lose
weight, but will also build your strength, stamina and physical endurance.
You probably think that I'm mean or even a jerk. Well, yes and no. I've had my own ups and downs with my own
weight my entire life. I'm human too and have my weaknesses like everyone else, but I do something about it when I
see the porridge on my gut looking unattractive. That's all that I'm trying to say here, is get off your fat rear
end and take charge of your life again. Put the darn potato chips down and slowly back away. Get off your cheesy
backside and get some weight training exercise.
If exercising hurts, that's because you weigh too much and it's going to hurt for awhile, but it will get
better...if you keep it up. If you have an injury or disability that prevents you from traditional exercise, then
talk to your doctor about exercises that you CAN do. Don't focus on the negatives. Don't whine about it because
this has to be done. You can find the definition of "sympathy" in any American dictionary. I personally have
none of this for you, unless you are willing to get up, dust yourself off and do something about your weight loss
problem. In that event, I salute you in your quest in losing weight through
weight training and working on changing your life.
